Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. The school is run by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Government of Tripura. As per the guidance of the Department, Gandachara Class XII School obtained its own position in the state. In our school, we provide an atmosphere to our students for multifaceted development where children are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. This can only be possible in a holistic a student-centric environment. The talents, skills, and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured and encouraged so that he/she is able to reach greater heights. Students need to be provided with a platform to think, express, and exhibit their skills. It is necessary to empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them with the teacher being a facilitator. The school is striving hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values combined with academic and Extracurricular activities in the children. Covering every individual into a self-reliant and independent citizen, the school provides a combination of scholastic and co-scholastic activities. No wonder, students harnessed in such an atmosphere have every hope and the possibility of becoming a responsible, balanced, and mature adult and is able to live in to contribute and to shoulder responsibilities of the society of which he forms an integral part. Children need a supportive environment at home and at school. They need to set goals, within their reach until they gain confidence and determination. They should re-examine their priorities, set clear goals, and make specific plans to achieve what they desire. Focusing on specific goals helps them move forward purposefully in life. They would thus have the pleasure of watching their dreams into reality.
Our school approach to learning is child-centric encouraging Activity based learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free inquiry. In our curriculum, the student is the primary focus and each child is involved in the learning process.
A school needs to adopt innovative methods of education from time to time depending on the situation.
In this Covid-19 Pandemic situation, the school has faced challenges in the teaching-learning process. Its impacts in the whole of education system globally to the teacher, the parent, and the educational administration. But the proper guidelines of the Education Department, Government of Tripura we tackle the situation.
The nation and the civil society always look at the teachers as the agent of the social transformers. Teachers are expected to integrate all social messages in their teaching and model them too. The teacher`s roles extend much beyond teaching to nurture, prepare and guide the learners to usher in better tomorrow.
The parents are the most strengthening power in molding the future of the children. Theirs consisted support through the SMC empower us to do more and more. I am grateful to them for their support and faith in us.
Teaching is the greatest act of optimism. When the world is faced with a dismal present and bleak future. it is the teacher who simply through the act of doing his/her job shows us light at the end of the tunnel and leads the younger generations slowly but surely towards it. Let`s value our teachers and their teachings which is truly an act of faith in humanity.
